In the past two days, the editor discovered a set of data and felt that as a female editor, she finally has the confidence to make a mark in this traditionally male-dominated excavator industry!

In traditional perception, the construction machinery and building industry is generally male-dominated. But friends, times have changed. Because in Western countries, some scholars conducted market research and found the data shown above.

In 2018, 9.9% of workers in the construction industry were women, most of whom were engaged in management positions, administrative roles, and some back-office support work, with only 13.3% involved in business roles. By 2020, the proportion of female workers was expected to reach 25%. So how many women joined this industry in 2021? Looking forward to it!

What specific positions do women generally hold in the construction industry? The editor continues to share with friends: 45% are engaged in sales and office support. In addition, 31% are company managers. A few women work in after-sales support and logistics, accounting for 1.5% and 1.4% respectively. What shocked the editor the most is that 21% are maintenance technicians. Wow! So impressive! It's hard to imagine women wearing work uniforms and holding wrenches—so cool!

Friends, can you believe that 13% of construction company owners are women? Statistics show that from 2007 to 2018, there was a 94% increase in women founding construction companies. Among them, 9% of companies had revenues reaching 500,000 USD.

Everything is impermanent, and anything is possible. There is no absolute; dare to challenge, dare to try, and anything can happen. Breaking gender discrimination, look! Women breaking tradition can also hold half the sky in the construction machinery and building industry!

They are ordinary yet extraordinary.

They are gentle yet resilient.

They are soft on the outside but strong on the inside.

Cool and beautiful coexist.

On this special 3·8 day,

Salute to all goddesses, happy holiday!!
