Product Overview
The 1206 J is a 6-cylinder option in the Perkins 1200 series, providing you with a complete power solution that meets EU Stage V/US EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards. The choice of options, engine configuration, and robust technology allow you to integrate the 1206 series into your equipment with minimal redesign.
Performance Overview
1. Supports downsizing
Our 1206 series' high power density and excellent torque give machine manufacturers the opportunity to use our 6-cylinder engines as replacements for larger engines. Downsizing in this way can save you costs and create more space to package new aftertreatment devices. The 1206 series is the ideal engine solution for medium and large machines in construction, agriculture, material handling, and general industrial applications.
2. Easy to convert
The 1206 series uses a consistent core technology set that supports your transition from Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim to Stage V/Tier 4 Final emission standards, which have been mandatory for 130-560 kW (175-750 hp) engines since January 2019. For engines below 130 kW (175 hp), the EU introduced Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emission standards in October 2014, and the US followed in January 2015.
3. Outstanding performance
We share your view that engines can achieve an excellent balance between meeting emission standards and delivering strong performance. Compared to the previous generation Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim engines, the 1200 series excellently addresses emission challenges, improves productivity, and reduces fuel consumption. The powerful 1206 series stands out in competition with its torque boosted up to 1282 Nm after enhancement and excellent transient response, making it the ideal choice for customers seeking reliable power.
4. Tailored for your machine
Your needs are our top priority, which is why we offer more targeted technology than any other company. We work closely with OEMs to develop the 1206 series with hundreds of variables, making it easy to match your machine.
The standard warranty period for our 1206 series engines is two years, and support is also available through extended service contracts.
The 1200 series is built on over 80 years of experience, benefiting from our engineering design expertise and tradition. It improves production efficiency and reduces fuel consumption, thereby lowering the total cost of ownership.
The Perkins 403 series electric power (EP) engines have the same compact size as similar 2-cylinder engines, but they excel in noise, performance improvements, and power. The 3-cylinder series offers excellent power density and top-tier fuel economy, meeting your power generation needs whether in emission-free areas that may require operation under extreme conditions or in regions with higher regulatory demands and stricter emission standards.
